I know what it's like to navigate these spaces because I'm still in them.
As Executive Director of the Alberta Direct Connect Consumer Association, I represent some of Alberta's largest industrial electricity users in high-stakes policy and regulatory conversations that shape the province's energy future. I build influence with skeptical stakeholders in rooms that weren't always designed for me to be in. I surface what others are missing. I shape outcomes that matter.
And I've hit the ceiling myself - more than once. There was a point where the pressure to prove and perform was all-consuming, the path forward wasn't clear, and I quietly started wondering if it was all even worth it.
I found my way through it. But it was harder than it needed to be.
